Tutorial: Create a Custom Photo Puzzle

Step 6 - Save PhotoPlus file and Export to a JPG file.

Save your artwork in PhotoPlus file format (*.spp) to preserve all of the layers.

From the File Menu, click Save As.

Name the file and click Save to save the file in a location on your hard drive.

Export to JPG file format for professional printing.

Make the trim guide layer invisible by clicking the open eye icon to closed.

Note: You don't want to print the trim guide. A professional printer requires the extra 1/4" bleed area artwork to give them extra artwork for trimming.

From the File Menu, click Export.

Select JPEG Interchange Format from the drop-down menu

Name the file and click Save to save the file in a location on your hard drive.

Check the JPG file.

Open the JPG file you just created to ensure that it looks the way you intended. Also, check the resolution (dpi - dots per inch) to ensure it is at least 175.

From the File Menu, click Open. Browse for the JPG file and click Open.

From the Image Menu, click Image size... The minimum resolution is 175 dpi. Your settings
should appear as below. (Note: The template dpi is 200.)
