• Dimension Lines and Scale Settings

If you’re looking to get a bit technical, then DrawPlus 8 is for you! You’ll find dimension lines indispensable for creating technical diagrams, floor plans, or any drawing where exact measurements and scale are important. You’ve no need to worry about estimating how long your lines are with DrawPlus 8, because you can simply add a Dimension Line. For example, you can draw a dimension line along one side of a box, measuring the distance between two corner points. And if you resize, the box, the line will follow suit, and its label text updates to reflect the new measurement.

• Connectors

Tracing your family tree is the craze that is sweeping the nation, and DrawPlus 8’s Connector tool will help you map your way from past to present! This great tool lets you create dynamic link lines between any two objects. You can even edit the connector properties (like thickness, colour and line end)!

• Layers

Easily manage complex drawing using layers. Layers help to arrange elements of your work by arranging them in a stack, like a pile of paper on a desk. You can lock layers so they can’t accidentally be edited, edit objects in each layer or the layer as whole, dictate how the layers interact with each other, and lots more to create intricate and manageable artwork.

Make your drawings stand out with Filter Effects – particularly well adapted to text – that you can apply to any object. You can add inner shadows, outer glows, outer bevels, embosses, pillow embosses – the possibilities are endless!

• Autotrace Bitmaps to Vector

Want to keep quality control at the highest level? Well, with the Autotrace converter you can! This handy helper lets you preview and adjust quality before import, then bring the item into DrawPlus 8 in fully editable vector mode.

• Brush Tool

Unleash the painter within you with DrawPlus’s powerful new Paintbrush Tool and supporting brush galleries! Nearly 200 vector – and Bitmap-based brush types are at your disposal – pick from acrylic, watercolour, pastel, paint and charcoal categories, or create your own categories.

Using a pressure-sensitive pen tablet (Serif GraphicsPad or equivalent)? Pressure sensitivity is supported with preset or custom pressure profiles and control over the maximum and minimum pressure applied. Additionally, scale the brush stroke’s width and opacity with pressure. Pressure sensitivity is simulated when applying brush strokes with your mouse.

• Web Browser Preview

One click lets you see how your graphics will display in a Web Browser, so that you can check quality, transparency, hyperlinks prior to final export. This tool is ideal for making sure you iron out any glitches before it’s too late!

• Open and Edit PDFs

Unlock the contents of third-party PDF drawings using the impressive ”open PDF“ feature in DrawPlus. Edit the imported PDF, using all the power of DrawPlus 8, as if it were a regular DrawPlus document then export as a PDF to share locally or online.
